Lynx Air Announces Pet Program
Lynx Air is Canada's new low-cost airline that has announced that they now allow passengers fly with their pets. We are delighted to hear the news that they are catering to the millions of travelers who wish to travel with their pets per year.
“We know that for many Canadians, pets are a beloved member of the family and we don’t want them to miss out on the family holiday,” said Lynx CEO Merren McArthur in a statement. “This new service is just one of the ways Lynx is making air travel accessible to all Canadians, including some of our furry friends.”
There is a small fee associated to the pet passengers flying in cabin, which is quite low compared to the average seen across 400+ pet-friendly airlines, so we're delighted to see that they are considering their price and ensuring they have a streamlined process.
Pet Reservation System
Pets can be booked during the booking process, which is exactly what Pawtrip's Pet Reservation System (PRS) offers through our API for full integration. The alternative option we provide airlines is the white-labeled solution which allows customers to book pet-friendly flights and know the exact inventory level of how many pet seats are available for flying with their pets in cabin, cargo hold and cargo.
Airlines are moving toward an external solution to improve the pain points associated with the reservation process, and Lynx Air is certainly standing out from the rest who have yet to implement such a solution.
